AutoConfig
Ten specialists, three questions and not one box drawn by you.
Give it sample documents and the file you want out of them. AutoConfig builds the ChronoScan job, checks it value by value against your file and bothers you exactly three times. With a job open you can also just talk to it: it explains why a field was read that way and changes fields, zones, tables and exports.
The bill
Prices during testing. They come from our test runs and can change before release.
What it costs to build a job, one time. Our six complete test builds cost between $0.48 and $1.70.
Normally. Templates read on your own PC: no AI call and no credits, however many documents you run.
The exception
A field no template can read, handwriting for example, and you say yes to AI. That field then costs ChronoScan Hub credits on every document. Without your yes, it stays at $0.
The cap
$10 per conversation, with a warning at $5. At the cap it stops and asks you. A big job with many layouts costs more than our tests: that's what the cap is for.
Small changes
Asking it something or fixing a zone in the chat usually costs between 1 and 40 cents.
Figures from our own test jobs at today's rates, charged to your ChronoScan license as Hub credits. Rates may change. While it configures, your sample documents go through ChronoScan's servers to Anthropic's Claude models; processing with templates sends nothing to them.
How the fight goes
When you press Build from example, an orchestrator, which is code and has no opinions, calls each one in turn. Each agent has its own brief and only the tools for it, and hands its result to the next. Yellow is the only part that's yours.

Colleague convinced. Now go and try it.

Your turn
Pick a fight with it
- In ChronoScan2 press Build from example on the home screen. In ChronoScan, open AutoConfig from the ribbon and add your files.
- Pick some documents and, if you have it, the file that should come out: CSV, TXT or Excel.
- Read the plan. If it's wrong, say so. If it's right, stand back.
- In ChronoScan2, with a batch open, Ctrl+Shift+C opens the panel to ask it anything.
- Bring your ugliest document. If it fails we want to see it: the
audit.mdin the job says what each agent did.
AutoConfig is in testing. Use a copy of any job that matters. Every change can be undone.
